The MoneyAdvice@Work® Team at Francis Investment Counsel provides holistic financial education and advice services to the employees of the organizations we serve. This year, the team received recognition once again for its efforts in retirement plan participant communication and engagement.
Pensions & Investments’ nation-wide Eddy Award competition recognizes best practices by defined contribution plan sponsors and service providers in delivering financial education to plan participants. Francis Investment Counsel – in partnership with one of its plan sponsor clients, Foth – was honored with a 2021 Eddy Award for a customized campaign.
Foth offers engineering solutions and client-centered service to a variety of government, industrial, and commercial clients from 26 locations nationwide. Foth is dedicated to providing a caring experience to clients and employees (members) and maintains an impressive client roster and national reach.
That caring attitude extends into the employee benefit programs Foth provides. Recognizing the importance of addressing employees’ financial needs and concerns, Foth first partnered with the MoneyAdvice@Work® Team in 2008, well before financial wellness was a “trending” employee benefit.
The partnership between Foth and MoneyAdvice@Work® proved invaluable throughout the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, as the MoneyAdvice@Work® Team ensured members had easy access to information, education, and personalized advice. Members specifically benefited from a COVID-19 website, which served as the hub for all resources. Additionally, the MoneyAdvice@Work® Team hosted webinars, pushed out timely market and education opportunities via the MoneyAdvice@Work® mobile application, and encouraged members to reach out to their advisors for personalized advice sessions.
The MoneyAdvice@Work® Team’s response to COVID-19 and Foth’s continued support of the service to its members received second-place recognition with an Eddy Award in the “Special Projects” category.
Kelli Send, Senior Vice President of Participant Services at Francis Investment Counsel and leader of the MoneyAdvice@Work® Team, attended Pensions & Investments’ Defined Contribution Spring Virtual Series, where the award winners were formally announced.
“The past year brought challenges for all of our clients, but our team was prepared. We enhanced our outreach efforts so that employees like the members at Foth had the help they needed when and where they needed it. We are very pleased to see Foth’s commitment to the financial well-being of its members recognized with this award.”
